How do you calculate my webpage ad views?

Home Buddies will calculate your full webpage ad views from statistics collected through Google Analytics. When you signup your webpage ad is given a unique URL or web address like - "http://www.homebuddies.com.au/listing/show/(your-unique- number)". Home Buddies are then able to calculate how many visits your page has received. Once your full webpage ad is viewed by more than 15 unique customers in one month, a Home Buddies staff member will contact you to discuss your future advertising costs should you wish to continue advertising. The cost for this webpage ad is only $8.25 (inc GST) per month or you can choose to upgrade to State or National Listing. You are under no obligation to continue advertising with Home Buddies at any stage.


My phone number and address have changed. How do I make these changes to my service profile?

You will need to go to the Login page and enter your email address you used to sign up as well as the 8 digit code/password that was emailed to you. Once in your account, you can change any of the details of your profile. Remember, to make the changes effective, you need to click on the 'Update Profile' button.


I did not receive a password when I signed up. How do I get one?

You simply need to go to the Login page, click on the 'Forgot password?' link and then enter your email address that you used to sign up with. A new password will be emailed to you. Remember to add Home Buddies to your contacts or safe sender's list so that you can always receive your mail from our website.


I have lost my password, how do I get a new one?

If you have misplaced the 8 digit code/password that was emailed to you, read the answer provided above for details on getting a new password.


I have tried to sign up and the system tells me that the email address is already in use. What does this mean?

Home Buddies uses the email address that a user signed-up with as their unique username. If you receive this message it means that you have already used this email address to create an account with Home Buddies. You have either signed up for a service profile or a customer account. This means that you may have to sign-up with a new email address or cancel your other account and sign-up for a new account.


How do I remove/cancel my account?

You can cancel your listing at any time by logging into your account (please read above for details on how to do this) and clicking on 'cancel' in the left hand menu box of your account.


I am having trouble loading my photos or my logo. What could be the problem?

Your photos or logo needs to be no more than 100kb in size per image. Check the 'properties' of your photos to see the size. The photos must only be in JPEG or GIF format. Images that have been graphically designed for print usually have a CMYK colour profile rather than a RGB colour profile and may also cause problems when you try to upload them. If you have an image editing program you may be able to resave the image in RGB format. If you need further help with your photos, you can contact Home Buddies.


The email enquiries I receive from Home Buddies end up in my 'Junk Mail'. How do I stop this?

To avoid having your Home Buddies emails end up in your junk mail, simply add Home Buddies as a contact or add us to your safe sender's list. If you are using Outlook, click on Actions >Junk Mail >Junk Mail Options >Safe Sender's - then type our email address in the text box and click OK. For other email programs, search Help for details on how to do this.


I offer my service in various regions/states. How do I get my profile to show up in these regions/states?

You can sign up to a State or National Listing. If you choose a State Listing, your ad will be found at the top of the search results page for every search conducted in your category from the state of your choice. Similarly, for a National Listing, your ad will be viewed at the top of the search results for every search conducted in that category. Please contact Home Buddies for further details and costs.


Can my profile show up in more than one category?

Each profile is specific to the category chosen. If you wish to have another profile in another category, you can sign up using a different email address.
